dc.description.abstractSince its first issue, Amauta magazine circulated in the mining concentration of the Center of Peru. José Carlos Mariátegui-Director of the magazine-achieved a direct relationship with the mining workers backed by this communicative medium He defended the social aspirations and labor rights of the mining workers against the abuses committed by the transnational company Cerro de Pasco Copper Corporation. The magazine Amauta influenced on a new type of journalism that would be the model to follow in the working press of Morococha between 1926 to 1930. © 2017, SciELO-Scientific Electronic Library Online.
