The present article aims to determine the effect of a program of intercultural competences in the research training process of teachers from a private university in Lima, Peru. The results show that intercultural awareness as a competence, becomes a pivotal core axis of global intercultural thinking within a society that demands a research approach from a cultural integration. It is reaffirmed that research training from sociocultural processes represents the multidimensional action of generating. © 2019 Revista Espacios.
