Leveling program: work strategy to strengthen basic skills in students entering public universities; [Programa de nivelación: estrategia de trabajo para el fortalecimiento de competencias básicas en estudiantes ingresantes a universidad pública]

Resumen

Given the need to reduce the student dropout rate in the first cycles of a university degree, the research seeks to determine the impact of the remedial program in strengthening the potential of incoming students at the National University of Education (UNE); The program is applied before starting the study of content that corresponds to your professional career. This is a quantitative study, of an experimental type with a pre-experimental design, the treatment was applied to 120 students. From the results obtained, it is determined that the application of the leveling program is feasible to reinforce content on subjects or topics that the incoming student has shortcomings and/or is unaware of and allows them to strengthen their basic skills to achieve academic success in their professional training. © 2024, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
