The purpose of the research is to corroborate the influence of the Storytelling strategy on the oral production in French of basic-intermediate level students in a language institute. The type of research used is applied and the design was pre-experimental, the sample size was estimated by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The sample was approximately 18 students at the basic-intermediate level. The procedure for data collection was through the application of an entry and exit test. The results indicate that after the exit test, 24.07 % of students reached a satisfactory level of achievement, 51.85 % are at the process level and 24.07 % at the beginning level. From the results obtained it can be affirmed that, with the use of the Storytelling technique, the students of the basic-intermediate level managed to improve their level of oral production in French, therefore, it is intended to propose the application of the same technique for language learning. © 2024, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
