| dc.description.abstract | The decay and economic backwardness of the Hispanic crown and its colonies within the separatist context caused the war for Hispanic American independence to also be a war of resources. The lack of support from the Creole population for this cause, mainly in Peru, caused the indigenous population to bear the burden of sustaining the armies in resources. In this context, the contributions, abuses and looting that occurred in the current province of Huarochirí are described and analyzed. The economic analysis of the Peruvian viceroyalty is taken as a generalized context and its counterpart in Huarochirí is recovered, highlighting its great sustainability before the war. With regard to indigenous contributions, it is specified that these were not only linked to the food resources provided to the liberating army, but also to the community work such as improvement and construction of roads for the passage of the patriotic army and the collection of firewood (fuel) in which women and children worked. It is concluded that the actions contrary to liberating and protecting the indigenous populations by members of the liberating army will cause deterioration in contributions and subsequent distrust in the nascent Republic throughout the central mountain range of the country, reflected in the subsequent uprisings with the same independentist predication of equality led mainly by Ignacio Quispe Ninavilca © (2023).
