Resumen
This study describes and explains the degree of correlation between teacher motivation and job performance, analyzing the level of development of each of the variables. The objective was to determine the relationship between teacher motivation and their work performance in the Educational Institutions of the Pachiza locality. To do this, a survey was developed to assess the level of teacher motivation with 12 items and an observation sheet with 18 items to measure job performance; the non-experimental-transversal-correlational design and the Pearson coefficient were used with a sample of 20 teachers, selected in a non-probabilistic manner. The descriptive results indicate that 65% of teachers have a high motivation; the remaining 35% of teachers show medium motivation; however, 75% of teachers show acceptable job performance; 15% of teachers show poor job performance; and only the remaining 10% of teachers show good job performance. In the correlational analysis, a moderate and high positive association was obtained between these study variables. Indeed, the relationship between teacher motivation and their job performance in the Educational Institutions of the town of Pachiza, during the period 2021 is 0.81; that is, there is a high relationship with a positive direction; which means that teachers who have a good level of internal and external motivation are positively associated with their job performance, both at the level of their pedagogical and social functions. © 2022, Sapienza Grupo Editorial.
