Knowledge management has become a central concept in business strategy and in the search for competitive advantages in today’s economy. Today, the value of a company is not based solely on its physical assets, such as factories or equipment, but on its ability to generate, acquire and apply knowledge effectively. A company’s ability to introduce new products, services, processes or business models is essential to remain relevant and competitive. Therefore, the objective of this work is to analyze the design of effective knowledge management strategies to promote innovation. It was decided to use the bibliographic documentary research methodology. For the design of effective strategies, it is essential to understand the needs and specific culture of the organization, in addition, fostering a culture of innovation, the choice of appropriate technologies and committed leadership are critical success factors. Knowledge management not only improves decision making and operational efficiency, but also unleashes creativity and the generation of innovative ideas. © 2024, Universidad del Zulia.
