| dc.description.abstract | The evolutions in the forms of evaluation in educational institutions are booming, thanks to the advance of information technologies, achieving their application with positive results in students. The objective is to know whether or not the applicability of formative evaluation is being fulfilled in secondary school students. The sample consisted of 2097 students from state educational institutions, collected through a voluntary and anonymous survey. The sample was purposive because of the easy access to the students, the research was descriptive, correlational and predictive. The approach for this research is quantitative. The results of Cronbach’s Alpha (0.972) and the statistical tests are significant. Concluding that there are teachers who do not put formative evaluation into practice due to lack of training and clinging to the traditional education model. © 2022, Associacao Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao.
